I like portable applications, and I plan to offer my programs as such in the future. (Flash Renamer is however the hardest oneof my programs to make portable, because it is dependent on many system files. I have been looking at a few solutions, and I hope to find something that works.)

As for forums, my experience is that it sounds better than it is. You need a really large and dedicated user base to get it working. I've tries running about 10 different forums, including one on my site a long time ago, and it has almost always been a negative experience :-(

I had a mailing list before, but I was too lazy to send mails so I scrapped it :-) An RSS feed would be nice though...
