Subject: Re: Flash renamer, questions / problems
Date: Mon, 28 Nov 2005 19:39:03 +0100Hi again,
An exif tag can contain several different dates. I am not an expert, but I belive that the exif tag "datetime" was the original, and later the exif specification was extended with "datetimeoriginal" and "datetimedigitizes" tags. Flash Renamer will (if present) use the "datetime" tag when you use the Flash Renamer tags and . In your image the different dates tags do not match. I don't know why...
You can force Flash Renamer to use other tags by for example using the tag
Many tags here. I hope you understand what I mean :-)

PS: I am using a program called ExifReader to figure this out. You might want to try it! (It's freeware.)

Hi Dan,
Attached find an image file (.jpg) taken with my digital camera. Exifer read and prefixed the Exif date time "taken" 050918-150000. Flash Renamer read and prefixed the Exif date time "modified" 2005-11-22 18-32-59. So I guess that explains the difference.
Thanks for the tip about sorting on the preview column.
Dave

Hi,
Currently there is no exif date column, but do like this to do it anyway: Use the format function and enter. Now the preview will have the exif date. Click on the preview column header to sort the files according to this date. Now that the files are sorted, you can use the enum function like you want!
About the problem: First of all, I just want to make sure that youy are using the and tags, not the standard and
