Subject: Re: improvement to Flash Renamer ...
Date: Sat, 28 Jan 2006 18:28:13 +0100Hi,
The next version of Flash Renamer will be 5.0. Since it's a big update it will take a while before it is ready. But the good news is that it will have both wildcards and regular expressions!

Subject: improvement to Flash Renamer ...
Hi!
I really like Flash Renamer and I use it more than often … only one thing that I’m missing very much:
Renaming using regular expressions
So eg. When I have a file named “my.file.to.rename.2006.01.23.rar” and I’d like to get rid of the “.” BUT NOT THE ONES between the numbers … I have to rename it by hand.
Would be real great to have an option like that:
Textbox to insert the search string and next to it an optionbutton for “only matching these” or “all BUT these” and next to it a textbox to insert the reg exp. Sting like [0-9]%s[0-9] (where %s is the space holder for the search string) à so newbies wouldn’t have to care about the meaning of “.” In reg.exp .
Thx for the great proggie looking forward, to the next update ;-)
