Most likely these characters are unicode letters. Unfortunately the programming language I'm using can't handle unicode, and thus I am unable to add support for them, even though I wish I could.

Hi, I tried several rename tools and found you're the best. But there is a problem with renaming some unidentified characters, they're presenting with ? mark and Flash Renamer can't rename them it asks "file name is too long". This characters presenting with black blocks (instead of letter) in total commander also. You should add feature that removes this characters.
