Subject: Re: Flash renamer-idea/sugestion-RMB renaming of files only
Date: Fri, 1 Dec 2006 20:39:08 +0100At the moment Flash Renamer does not fully support this. I will add better support quite soon though, since it's a part of the v5 upgrade.
It is possible to do already (v5.06) though, if DOpus can generate a textfile containing the files and send it to Flash Renamer. To learn more about this feature, read about "command line support" in the manual (you will find it att the bottom of the help text).

PS: I used DOpus4 on the Amiga. It was the best :-)

Subject: Flash Renamer-idea/sugestion-RMB renaming of files only
Dan, hello again,
tks for the below.
Flashrenamer is integrated in Directory Opus (THE best Windows Explorer).
When RMB-clicking on a folder, 'Start FlashRenamer' shows up.
but what if I have a random number of single files in a directory that I select and wish to rename?
then FR does not show up.
Directory Opus can be configured in a way that it's default 'Rename' will launch Flashrenamer, like this.
However, it will not bring up the selected files, but will select the last opened folder only.
I am not sure whether what I want is possible at all though ...:-)
best regards,
Marcel.

Onderwerp: Re: Flash Renamer-idea/sugestion-redating basis Exif Digitized date
Hi,
I see your problem. If you use the "format" function you have the ability to choose exactly which tag to get. But not in the "set date" function.
It was tricky to do this function, because it has to be "smart" since not all images have all date tags filled.
Based on your image it seems to me that ACDSee has modified the image and also changed the date tag. (It shouldn't do that if you ask me.)
I will think about adding a fix to this problem. If so, it will probably be a "tweak" located in the FlashRen.ini file, since this seems to be a minor problem that most people will not encounter.

Hello Dan,
Feature request: within renaming date there is an option to get date+time from jpg image exif tag.
Please wud it be possible to add: date-time digitized ??
This is basically THE original date of the photo taken.
Below you will find details from any random photo (Exif-details show in ACDSee).
It is possible that the first date (1) mentioned below - basis for yr Exif redating- is different from
the date digitized.
I found out after redating a few hundred jpg's basis Exif-tag and noticed that roughly 10-20
had a different date and not the exif-digitized date.
thanks and regards,
Marcel.
