Subject: Re: Flash renamer-ExifDateTimeDigitized
Date: Tue, 24 Jul 2007 20:37:46 +0200It seem like my Exif reader is actually crashing on this image. Right now I don't have time to investigate exactly why, but I promise to fix it by the next release.

Seems to me that you are doing it right. Can you send me one of the files so I can test?
(Make sure that the file is not write protected. But I don't think that should matter...)

Subject: RE: Flash Renamer-ExifDateTimeDigitized
Hi Dan,
Guess that wud be a good idea, adding the ExifDateTimeDigitized option in the ini.
Also, I having the following (again) date issue.
I have processed a number of JPEG-files.
The date obviously changed into the today's date.
In the Exif's of the files the datetime digitized is untouched, i.e. they have the old 'actual' date+time.
I want to redate the files and selected flwg"
However, clicking on Rename does not change the modified dates.
What am I doing wrong?
brgds/Marcel.

Hmm... didn't think of that :-) I'll add more tags, ok?
(Do you know that yyyy-mm-dd is an ISO standard, and that the good thing about it is that it is easy to sort?)

Hi Dan,
in 5.3 there are a lot of changes
also some with regards to ...
quote
Improved 'date', 'adate' & 'cdate' format tags to allow user define date formats
unquote
I hoped the exifdigitized date format wud be solved, but i donot see a way to tackle that one.
e.g.:
orig.image
CDS-009.JPG (image digitized on 15-07-2007)
wud like to rename to
Holiday-15-07-2007
I wud then use Format option
Holiday-
Result:
Holiday-2007-07-15
Now, there is this option in the FlashRen.ini to set the date, which I did of course dd-mm-yyyy
Suggestion:
What about adding an 'Exif' Section to the ini-file
EXIF-DATETIMEDIGITIZED=dd-mm-yyyy hh:mm:ss

Hi,
Check the FlashRen.ini file. There you can change how dates appear. I know this is not the best solution, but it's better than nothing, and will have to do for now...

Hello Dan,
is there a way to rename files as follows:
old name: filename.ext date: 01-01-2007 time: 12:34
new name: filename-ddmmyy.ext
without '-'
and the year as two digits.
filename-010107.ext
there is an option to add the date (filename-01-01-2007.ext) but i donot see a possibility to
edit this in way that the yyyy is displayed as yy and no '-'.
Thank you!
brgds/Marcel.
