I don't know if it is possible to do what you want. My "trick" allows you to easily soft your files without having to do it manually.

PS: I think it's called "enable all columns" in older versions.

Sorry, I do not understand.
I want to move some files up and insert them in a new location, and for the numbers to be adjusted automatically.
Also, I do not seem to be able to make more columns.

You can click on the column header. (in the settings you can enable more columns)

My best trick is this: use some rename function to generate a bunch of new filenames in the preview column. Now click on the preview column header, and you will sort according to your previews!
