Subject: Re: Flash Renader-Redate Back to OriginalDate

The solution I'm planning is to have a function that can set the dates based on format parts (<%1>) in the filenames.

Subject: Flash Renader-Redate Back to OriginalDate

Hi Dan,

I suppose it is not yet available in FR (or I am overlooking it).

Imagine you need to convert a lot of files from one filetype to another.
The original date usually is lost and the files all hv a new date, the date of the conversion.

Knowing this, the idea is that the filenames and dates are first 'imported' (or so) into FR
then the conversion takes place
then FR redates the files back to the original date.

Actually it would even be better (if at all possible) to launch the conversion utility from within FR
and when the conversion is done, then FR wud take over control and redate the files back to the original date-time

What do you think?

brgds/Marcel.
