Subject: Re: pdf image extraction wizard
Date: Sat, 01 Nov 2008 08:05:36 +0100Hmm... Sounds like one of those crappy MS installers that requires two "passes". If I remember correctly I think that you should extract the files to a temporary folder, and then run a new installer that you will find there.
It's not enough to just copy the files. They need to be registered in the system. Somehow the files you've already got have become unregistered or corrupt.
If all this fails, try to copy the files to the same folder as the PDF Wiz exe is located in. I'm not sure if it will work, but often it does!

I searched and found the file in question was already in my computer at c:\windows\servicepackfiles\i386. It was clearly NOT missing, but I figured it might be corrupted, so gave that as the extraction address. When it finished I again tried to run the PDF Image Extraction Wizard with the same non-results.
