Subject: Re: unicode / flash renamer
Date: Fri, 24 Apr 2009 13:15:03 +0200Hi,
Unfortunately Flash Renamer is written in vb6 that does not support unicode, and since M$ does not update it anymore it's impossible to fix unless I re-write the entire program in another language, which I don't really have the time to do. This sucks... :-(

Delphi only recently really started supporting Unicode (I don’t know if you wrote it in Delphi, but some things in the interface remind me of older versions of Delphi). DotNet on the otherhand supports Unicode well, but still in a program such as Flash Renamer there are a lot of things to consider to support non-latin languages well (not to forget right-left languages. I use them sometimes too. Then theres Mongolian or Kalmuk[top-bottom]).
