Subject: Re: FR How to
Date: Mon, 26 Apr 2010 19:59:26 +0200Thanks. Here are my suggestions:
Possible solution 1:
The menu option "add to free select" works directly on the items in the list, so adding a folder will add that folder, not the content of it.
Thus: select the files instead and add them to free select.
Tip: if you right click you will find a menu option called "select all items with preview". This might help you do the above?
Possible solution 2:
Use the "include filter" to only rename certain files.
Possible solution 3:
Wait until next version. I have decided to improve the "add to free select" option.
Possible solution 4:
(Using the browser, subfolders not enabled) Go to the "root" folder. Use the arrow keys up/down to navigate to a folder. Press "enter". You are now inside this folder. Press "F5" to rename (assuming you already have the correct rename function enabled.). When ready, press "backspace". Now press arrow down to step to the next folder, press "enter" and so on...
This is how I often work. It's not 100% automatic, but still quite fast.

I hope some of this will help you!

If I understand correctly this should be exactly what you were doing before (except that you were using dopus of course). Correct me if I'm wrong.

Then press backspace to go back to the parent. The previous folder is still selected so you can continue browsing with the arrow keys, for example simply press down to go to the "next" folder.
