Thank you for trying Flash Renamer! My program can do almost everything, and changing the title of the images should be not problem. Try at the replace function, for example.
About your problem: I'm not exactly sure of what is going on. It sounds like it has something to do with the download, and not the program itself, or have I misunderstood you? In that case, it's probably your browser that is messing up. Try it again:
Download Flash Renamer here: http://www.rlvision.com/files/FlashRenamer50_Setup.exe
When you click on the download link above, choose "Save" and save the file on your desktop. When the download is complete, look at your desktop and start the file to install the program.

I am trying to load your programme to rename photos, it keeps telling me that it cannot find the download in C-Docume ---IE and so on etc., and won't let me change the place to store the programme.

Do I understand that I can rename the "title" but retain the shot number (,234JPEG ) or similar,
Hoping to hear from you sometime. The idea is great. Once I can try the samples I can then register.
