The registration code is stored in this file:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\RL Vision\Flash Renamer\settings.dat
(It's just a textfile. Look for "regcode".)
When an unregistered version starts, you will see a shareware window. Here is a buttons called "enter code" that you are looking for.
About the office installer: There is a bug in Windows Installer that causes this on some computers. You can find more info here: http://www.annoyances.org/exec/show/article08-103
I don't know how to fix it. Blame Microsoft - I'm not even using Windows Installer for my programs...
